I almost think the response to LW #2 was a little harsh. I don't think that one can completely inoculate a child against being (temporarily, we hope) crushed by someone they look up to, no matter how well one has taught them. I am glad of the last paragraph, though.

I want to adopt Maisy, of course. If I still prayed I'd pray that LW listens to the letter rather than contining to try to squash Maisy's square peg into a pompom-shaped hole.
