At the autism center we attended, there was so much demand and the waiting lists were so long for parent training sessions, only one person per family was allowed to attend. They gave a lot of handouts and it was expected that the person who attended would explain things to their other family members. It was their way of trying to serve as many families as possible as quickly as possible.
