Even if he doesn't know about polyamory, he certainly knows that it's not okay to promise monogamy and break that promise immediately before and after making it - and then keep on doing it.

Like, honestly, screw it. I'm not 100% convinced that what he wants actually is polyamory, where he might have to honestly account for his actions with two or more different people, instead of just the thrill of cheating.
