LW sounds so blazingly hypocritical here that I simply cannot take their words at face value. I'm not saying that they're projecting, but I don't think that they're accurately describing the situation.

Five bucks says "she demands attention" means "she talks about herself for a little while", "practically forces us to entertain her" means "she doesn't just dine and dash but sits and chitchats", and "gets upset when the dinner my parents are cooking doesn't meet her specifications" means "she's recently become vegetarian". (Also noted - LW doesn't make dinner even one day out of the week.)
