This is kind of a messy one. On the one hand, I can understand LW's position - there are some legitimate issues, there, especially unexpected late nights and the potential risk of unemployability. On the other hand, I think it's unreasonable to expect the husband to hold himself to standards that the job doesn't require of him. Work to live, not live to work.
(Like, why the fuck does it matter what the husband wears to work, if he's not getting in trouble for it, and it's clean and covering the parts that need to be covered. LW needs to examine a whole bunch of their entrenched assumptions about how much influence a job should have over your life.)
