I think all anybody has said - certainly all I've said - is that we don't really have the context to determine what's going on here (other than the fact that Daughter clearly thought this as a funny joke and not something that LW would be upset at), but that LW should probably try a few other options before going nuclear.

The trouble with the nuclear option is that it leaves you nowhere to escalate to if it doesn't work.
