I would have more sympathy for LW4 if her emphasis were on it being a family vacation with everyone doing family-type things together. When my brothers brought their sweeties on a family vacation -- and I have no idea what parental negotiation went on my them -- they were treated as one of the family and they shared chores and activities as such, possibly with one "date night."

But the clothing and PDA worries on the part of LW4 make me think this is a different level of complaint.
