The last one is awful. Newborns need to eat regularly because they’re not on an umbilical cord anymore. Just letting them cry at night means you are literally starving them.

I googled, and most babies start sleeping through the night at 4-6 months, not weeks. Yes, some may start much sooner, but certainly not the majority. Mom has the right of it—the baby knows their own needs.
