Oh, definitely - it's like I always say, you can't bolster up a bad argument by adding a whole bunch of worse arguments. All by itself either the complaint about the friends (in the proper context) or Dad "giving her away" might be sympathetic - but once you add in all the garbage about the engagement ring (how does that affect LW?), the church reception (how does that affect LW?), the wedding dress (go shopping with your daughter for something else, LW!), the lack of engagement party, bridal shower, or registry (how does that affect LW?), and all the other pettiness it's hard to take those two things even a tiny bit seriously.
