it doesn't seem normal for a 4 year old to come up with all this from thin air. Best case, it is from TV or books.

If she were 5, she might have learned something like that in Daisies or kindergarten. The better ones sometimes teach the basics of How To Recognize And Report Abuse. But you're right that they don't teach it to 4 year olds. They're less likely to mention anything about sexual abuse in conservative areas...but LW didn't say the child mentioned anything sexual.

ETA: Some children start kindergarten a few months before turning 5. While some schools start classes the first week of September (as is right and proper) others start sooner. I know several districts in the south that have been going since early August.
