I have to say, while I can understand her objection to being unexpectedly confronted with the loyalty oath, it seems odd to object to the fingerprinting? Perhaps this is just because I've been fingerprinted six times in the past ten years (five times for various government jobs, and once because I was in a church choir), but it seems like a very common and generally accepted requirement for a lot of jobs – but then, maybe that was different fifty years ago!
