Despite being a fat person who shops at thrift stores and is thus perpetually frustrated at the dearth of secondhand plus-size clothes...I don't think LW is doing anything wrong by buying clothes with the intent of altering (or "repurposing") them.

What LW does need to stop doing is being tremendously obnoxious.
