I wish people wouldn't write Amy with work questions.
A ten hour day is too much, unless LW is getting a three-day break each week.
What I'm wondering is: when did this start? LW says "recently." Was there an event, possibly not even something involving them directly (like an inspection), that set off this hovering micro-monitoring? As LW has been there seven years without, apparently, any problems coming up, I'm wondering whether they're being set up for dismissal by the creation of a paper trail of "issues" the manager wants on record to justify firing.
LW says they're in no danger of being fired, but maybe they should listen to their gut. Definitely ask the supervisor what is going on with this, but they may be picking up on other cues around the workplace too.
