This is a tiny little detail in such a mass of horrible stuff, but the thing about selling "virginity" creeped me right the fuck out. I cannot fathom any client who wanted such a thing being remotely pleasant to be around.

The labor market is so tight right now, and things have been so odd the past couple of years, that it should be more possible to find work than it was previously, especially for someone who's still quite young and who has been doing freelance work (there may also be ways to get better paid freelance jobs). Some retail jobs aren't customer facing, but shelf stocking and so forth. (And it would be interesting to know what her field actually is.)
