For how is worded, the fitter friends and the HAES friends seem to be the same. Perhaps they keep physically active but do not go to the gym, ans see that as a problematic behavior (like eating healthy vs dieting). In any case, regardless of the reasons, LW doesn't need to put up with people who are being assholes to them. Even if they quit on the new way of life, they should seek better friends.
