Good column. I participate in equity discussions at work—on racism and other issues—and lack of consensus around the role of allies comes up a lot. It’s a reality we have to deal with, even though it makes people uncomfortable. A lot of people want to do the “right thing,” but they want to be told what the right thing is. It just isn’t that easy.
