This feels real in a way that some of the letters we've discussed recently (like the one where the 2yo is insufficiently woke) haven't quite. I really like how Chung emphasises, repeatedly, that you can't fix racism with punishments, only with ongoing education and meaningful discussions. That last paragraph where she brings in her own childhood experiences of racist bullying: to me, it’s never really mattered where he learned it, or whether he had his Game Boy taken away, or whether his parents punished him at all? is a really strong piece of rhetoric, IMO.
