cereta: Cartoon of my daughter as Batgirl with "Evildoers Beware!" (I'm Batgirl's Mom)

I've posted a few times on other sites: this is a thing I do not get about some (some!) dog owners. Other than when my first cat was still a kitten and I went to my mother's for three weeks at Christmas, it would literally never occur to me to bring my cats to someone else's home. And yes, I know: dogs travel better, they require more care, etc, but still, the notion that mom expects to be able to bring her "puppers" to her son's house just boggles me.

I get that him and his new family not being able to stay in her home kind of sucks. Both my brother and brother-in-law are profoundly allergic to cats, and this basically means that any remote hope we might have had of family visiting us is pretty much nil. It also means they can't stay in my mother's house for more than a few minutes. Her choice to have cats has been a source of some contention, but she doesn't resent the allergic for not visiting, for heaven's sake.
